Malveira da Serra

Malveira da Serra is where the magic happens
Portugal Mountain Biking is based in the small town of Malveira da Serra, on the foothills of Sintra's mountain range.
This mountain range or locally the Serra de Sintra covers about 16 km from the UNESCO World Heritage town of Sintra to Cabo da Roca on the Atlantic Ocean. Its highest point is at 530 meters. Sintra was known to the Ancient World as Lunae Mons (mountains of the Moon) and was the legendary retreat of Diana the Huntress (Cynthia to the Romans, hence Çintra).
In Malveira da Serra you can find several restaurants, including two pizzarias and a sushi place, supermarket, bank, cafés, newsstand, etc.
It is a great spot to chill, very close to one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal - Guincho. It is also very close to the beach resort town of Cascais, if you are in the shopping mood. From Cascais you can take the train to Lisbon.

How to get to Malveira da Serra, coming from Lisbon by car
